– About: Alamo Drafthouse is famous for its restaurant-style waiter service, gourmet food menu, and alcohol options. Founded in Austin, Texas in 1997, there are now 29 locations across the U.S. (with more planned). In addition to the upscale dining and service, Alamo Drafthouse also enforces a strict etiquette policy: There are no children allowed under the age of 2, and talking, texting, and arriving late to the movie are all forbidden as well.
